      So I am trying look for ghost stories with or around animals. The target I am especially aiming for are birds. folklore based or literary based [aka where there is one author behind the story instead or oral collected like folklore based.]

      Some I have already found are "the owl haunting Sableben park" [sorry, the work is in Germa]

      Nyunai Suzume

      Tatarimokke

      I am trying to look for more is because I heard of a tradition that poeple during Christmas time to tell ghost stories.

          @owlcyclop

          I'll look through my repository of translations for such tales and put them up on my wiki this evening.

            Hope this plead for help can give poeple good ideas for what can be a seasonal tradition.

              @owlcyclop I've finished the thread. I found 12 tales that fit:

              Jürgen Hubert (@juergen_hubert@mementomori.social)

              1/ Since @owlcyclop@mastodon.art was curious, here is a thread on bird ghosts and bird spirits from German folk tales. This will be a slow-moving thread, since I have to add many of these tales to my wiki first. Let's start with the tale they are already familiar with, where an #owl does a rather impressive threat display. #bird #birds https://wiki.sunkencastles.com/wiki/The_Owl_Haunting_Sa%C3%9Fleben_Park
