Amy Chua's "Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother" was one of the most deeply unsettling books that I had to read as a part of my teachers' training. I hated the book for its whitewashing of abusive parenting with the takeaway being - both my daughters are successful now, hence I am correct.
EXCEPT. Now I know that her elder "great lawyer" daughter worked for Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Amy herself wrote op-eds about him to portray him in a good light. Her husband is allegedly a sexual predator. 1/n
