It's been about two months since I started creating my wiki for the German folk tales I have translated. Since then, I have put about a fifth of all my translations on it. At my current speed, it will take me until late May to add them all - although by that date I will probably have a hundred further finished translations.
But once I have reached that stage, I can expand the wiki in new ways. For instance, I can add short essays to popular narrative tropes in German folk tales. A lot of these aren't exactly clear to the casual reader (or do _you_ know what a "Wahles" is?).
I also want to add links from the tales to places where people have used them in other media, such as @rorystarr 's excellent "Fireside Fairytales" (really, watch his show on YouTube!).

And it's the appreciation of others that motivates me to continue!

@juergen_hubert do you think you'll ever do anything like the Aarne–Thompson–Uther types or are you more focused on building your own trope ontology?

Maybe. I do think the ATU Index has some serious flaws, but at some point I want to read through it and figure out which tale types apply.
