    However, he also admits that he doesn't speak German. And can you really know a country if you do not speak the local language?

    If you are caught in an expatriates' bubble, your understanding of your host country will remain woefully imcomplete.

      @juergen_hubert well, I can see why the magazine pulled the article - that is definitely not the light hearted little cultural differences are fun article they wanted. But then, what were they expecting from Ai Weiwei?
