I mean, it's not totally surprising. The thread was pretty politically charged.
I had a whole follow up post about how that word gets used in games. But the thread got locked before I could post it.

Now it's gonna be a week until I can post it.

I’ve both received and issued my fair share of “time-out” bans, but they have to come with an explanation. Even if that explanation is “I don’t have time to deall with all of this right now, but this fighting is getting unfriendly. We’ll have a chat after you’ve all had a break”.

I'm a repeat offender. (I posted a Let's Go Darwin meme in a political thread.) My tone was flippant for such a touchy subject. I can see how that can come off as trolling.

The only surprise was the ban being a whole week.

I honestly don't blame the mod staff, they are undoubtedly overworked.

What I don't get is the person who would call for the mods rather than make a counter-argument.
