      @Mjack I used to do that all the time. I eat out by myself sometimes too, but usually I have some family member in tow.

            @Mjack In the late 90s and early 2000s, I was seeing minimum 4-5 films per week by myself. Nobody I knew was that much of a film buff, except for the other film buffs at those screenings, and none of us wanted to talk to each other during said films.

              @Printdevil @Mjack when I have breakfast by myself, I leisurely read the alternative newspapers or (more likely nowadays) look at my phone without getting interrupted by one of my children. It's heavenly.

                My children are a conspiracy of noises. And their shouting when young gave me tinnitus. You are never alone with tinnitus... @Tim_Eagon @Mjack
