<p dir="auto">BlueSky is still very much in the first stage of the enshitification cycle, namely: being good to their users. But the business model for commercial social media platforms is well established now, and it involves locking users in and then abusing them at a rate slowly enough that offboarding still feels like it’s not worth it.</p>
<p dir="auto">People embracing a tool that has been used to openly manipulate them in the past because <em>this</em> time it will be different is a story of abuse that plays out over and over again until the victim is buried in a shallow grave.</p>
