This sounds really innocuous, but Teen Vogue just axed their whole politics desk — everybody working on it has been laid off. -

This is devastating: it was a publication with a lot of reach and it was consistent in how it spoke out against this administration.

Time for a fresh #introduction, as I’ve changed/the times have changed since I posted here last.Time for a fresh #introduction, as I’ve changed/the times have changed since I posted here last. I’m Zeb! I’ve been off and on of Mastodon for the last few years mostly as the mood catches me. I’m a former academic historian who got a PhD and studied the American anti-apartheid movement: I left behind that world in 2020 but it’s still with me in a few ways. By day, I’m a software engineer, but my real interest is in writing. I work as a freelance writer when I have time. I write mostly about politics, but every once in a while I get to write about music or food.
Let’s see, what else…I’m a parent, I’m based in Columbus, Ohio, and I have a lot of hobbies.
