Also, Marlaina Smith reeks of treason.

Of course she wants American products on shelves.

      Traitor.

Doubtful on this one. Keeping the ban in place lets him play up the “belligerent everyman/Captain Canada” image him and his base love so very much. The flip flopping is reserved for shady deals for his developer buddies that he knew were wrong and was just hoping no one would notice.

He already flip-flopped on energy going to the states, and that was months ago. Maybe if he kept his word, we wouldn’t still be playing this game.

Yeah I absolutely despise Doug but he’s (somehow) a master at images. He, unlike PP, knows that Canadians/Ontarians are in elbows up mode so that’s the role he’s going to play since it really costs him nothing. If Ontario decided tomorrow that they actually love Trump, then he’d be Trump’s best friend in the world

Definitely not sourced but I think there was some assumption that was because the feds told him to hold off

I’m with you on that one. Cutting off energy exports is the kind of drastic action that the feds would absolutely be in contact with him about.

Ontario didn’t have to cut energy off, but they could have added extra fees to the delivery charges. We had leverage, and never made use of it.

Good. As an American I say that nobody should give us any money. This place sucks and the assholes in charge deserve to suffer in the only way they understand - financially.
