To be fair, this year is one where the flu shot didn’t quite hit the right strains. It’s always a guessing game, to know which strain will propagate.

Covid on the other hand, get the booster, don’t be dumb.

Vaccines must be available freely, widely and early, without pre-booking and payment requirements.

Evening or weekend appointments would be quite cool for me actually.

I’m sure it varies by province, but they were available in like October at pretty much any pharmacy in Saskatchewan. Walk in, do the little questionnaire, get poked, wander the store for 10 mins to make sure there’s no adverse reactions, making a total of about 15 minutes in and out.

There are infinite reasons, many bad ones but my fuck when an article doesn’t get how grammar works, well, yeah, that’s a pretty explicit example of “experts don’t know shit.”

Yes it’s a whom here. “Who do Canadians trust on health care?” Fuck me sideways, if you, and your editors, don’t know how English works, why the fuck should we trust you on facts?

I get my shots just about every year including this one. I’ve been sick 3 times since October. To be fair, I have a suspicion it’s been a mild case of covid, a rough go of the flu, and a cold. But fml it’s been a rough few months.

Watch this: Dr. John Campbell on negative efficacy. I wasn’t “anti vax” before COVID hit. Remember, It was the Orange Asshole who bragged about Project Warp Speed. I sincerely believe these rotten fucks (a.k.a. the government) are trying to kill us off, like the “boiling frog” analogy (which was supposedly disproven).

Member when the CDC under Lord brainworm cancelled the meeting where they discuss which strains to make the shot effective against? Might have been an important meeting.

Edit… This is a Canadian instance. Hopefully your people weren’t taking advice from ours.

John Lorimer Campbell is an English YouTuber and retired nurse educator who has made videos about the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, the videos received praise, but they later diverged into COVID-19 misinformation.[1] He has been criticised for suggesting COVID-19 deaths have been over-counted,[2] repeating false claims about the use of ivermectin as a COVID-19 treatment, and providing misleading commentary about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines.[3]

When news comes out about divergence of flu strain and the vaccine targeted strains, many people read it (incorrectly) as “the vaccine this year doesn’t work”. I don’t get the vaccine, and I haven’t had a fever with the flu for like 10 years (I have 5 Covid shots and got covid twice). It’s mostly just my laziness, and I don’t see the benefit over being consciously against it.

I mean yes, but maybe talk to your doctor first, especially if you have had a reaction, or your immune system is quirky.

My last booster did something to my nerves in the injected arm. I couldn’t lift it and needed help dressing and putting on\taking off my coat. The lack of mobility looked an awful lot like how somebody whose had polio in the upper limb would look like. It took around 9-12 months to be able to reach up, or put my hand on my back.

My friends wife did not get so lucky, it paralyzed half her face, her eye, and her neck on the side of the injection. Doctor said recovery is 7-10 years, and might not fully come back.

I’m not discouraging people from getting the vaccine, just know your risk factor.

For myself the doctor said it looks like whatever the reaction is it also was attacking my connective tissues in my joints.

For me the Moderna had some side effects but not Pfizer. So I had to request that one specifically this year. I wouldn’t have gotten it if it was Moderna so I understand.

Did you know that the CDC approved Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID last year? I bet you’re one of those dipshits that still call it “horse paste” (a Nobel Prize winning medicine). I take Wikipedia with a grain of salt, it being about as reliable as network news, and just as controlled by certain initialized groups. Do you accept network news this uncritically?

Get the flu vaccine as well. The vaccine will still be partly effective, which will help a lot since this year’s strain is a particularly nasty, violent one, the worst in decades.

                                Don’t hesitate, just get them.
