Fraid not. What the RCMP is kinda scary and possibly dumb. They just arrested everyone with no evidence or charges and are apparently hoping someone says something they shouldn’t while in custody for 24 hours before they either have to issue charges or release them. Nope. The cops made up some bullshit about a gun to get a search warrant and all they found was some toys. They’ll all be out in the morning if they keep their mouths shut and if the cops did not find anything else they haven’t disclosed yet.

If it looks like a real gun, it’s pretty much exactly as effective for commiting crimes as a real unloaded gun. There’s very few legitimate reasons to have a replica firearm and they are highly regulated. Anyone with a criminal record would not be able to get a license for prohibited firearms.
