Mass deportation would be great given the housing and medical crisis. Like I’m sorry for them, but its reality, and native Canadians should be a priority. If our government isnt protecting citizens as a first priority then what is the point of it?

dumb fuck doesn’t even realize there are citizens who don’t originate here.

I’m a naturalized Canadian that’s been working and paying taxes supporting this country all my life and I have a damn good income, I’ve very likely “contributed” more than you.

This country is literally made up of immigrants, along with the indigenous peoples of the land. That is reality.

Everything preceeding the word ‘but’ is bullshit, every time. Let’s be real, you’re all for mass deportation of visible minorities, you don’t care if they were born in this country or how much their family has contributed to its growth. You won’t acknowledge that every one of us who isn’t a born indigenous Canadian, had to migrate here and be given a chance to improve the country, which we did, every time. Now you want to pull up that ladder and assert that because they’re not the same colour or culture as you are they should suffer and probably die actually. Some believe you should be deported for not being of Canadian spirit, and so will the regime you’re dreaming about after they shove all the Canadians YOU don’t like out. Time will come that you won’t be loyal or Canadian enough for them, and you’ll be sent to a camp or deported to CECOT, and be asking yourself ‘how could this happen to me?’, and you’ll know… This is what I asked for.

If you are self-aware and you’re actually telling on yourself saying “yes, I want what they have, which is our own military terrorizing Canadians”, then sincerely, get fucked, you don’t belong here.

I am not talking about those previously given PR, and neither is this article. You’re a citizen so you’re not being deported, its new refugee claimants and undocumented people. So your children, who will be natives, can afford to live here.

We did mass immigration well beyond what our economy could sustain in order to invert the Phillips curve after massive government money printing and QE. This caused dire shortages in infrastructure and asset bubbles.

I think most people agree with sustainable immigration, which if people like yourself stopped screeching ‘racist’ for 5 seconds we may stop destroying the poor and the young at the alter of economic growth and Tim Horton’s parbaked transfat profits.

Well how do you respond to housing in our largest cities nearing 100% of median income, or youth unemployment in our largest cities at 20%, or our overburdened medical system?

Is none of this in your eyes due to massively increasing immigration, which was done according to Mark Miller in order to hide falling per capita GDP?

Maybe you’ve never looked at any of these statistics, in which case I’d forgive your ignorance on the subject.

Let’s just get rid of government regulation, environmental regulation, and the social safety net. Bring us back to the 1700s when everyone was responsible for themselves. Since that’s whats required to build the housing and maintain mass immigration.

So you realize the problem didn’t start with immigration, yet that’s where you put your focus? The outcry should be against policies that promote exploitation of workers, regardless of where they are from. That by itself would stop any excess immigration equitably, without dehumanizing anyone by going back on our word and treating them like garbage.

Tax the rich to pay for social service expansion like we always did successfully, resulting in everything good we have, until we decided not to because rich people are cool and will give you money if you help them get richer. everything else you said is hollow words and clumsily laid bait traps. Bye.

If they were treated humanely it would still be a shortage, you need to build homes FIRST and then increase immigration. Or else you hurt those without assets. Nobody is blaming immigrants themselves except your poor attempt at an ad hominen argument.

What ad hominem argument? I directly responded to the substance of your comment (specifically the premise that we start with immigration even though your comment contained an acknowledgement that was not the cause of Canada’s economic troubles). I said nothing about you directly or your motivations. If you’re going to ignore relevant criticism, there’s no point continuing this conversation.

The economic troubles are immigration. What happens is you have QE and 0% interest rates, to deal with Covid, then you have a labor shortage and “quiet quitting”; as per the phillips curve in economics where inflation and employment are inversely coorelated. Then you have mass immigration to fill the temporary QE induced labor shortage. Then you have the BoC raising interest rates, even more so than expected given Trumps tariffs. Then you have a reversion to the mean for employment, and a lot more workers that can no longer be absorbed.

So its all excess immigration. We arent meant to drastically distort the market like this to fill temporary lulls or highs in the economy, to hide falling GDP growth and then losing the election. I’m not a mustached villain, I simply have a single mom sister who can barely get by as an education assistant and think what we did is despicable.
