This made me respect Carney so much more than I had already. He correctly pointed out Iran has obviously been developing nuclear weapons while lying about it, pretending 60% enriched fuel is for civilian use? And has been a constant sponsor of terrorism in the middle east.

Also the US’s strike ONLY hit the nuclear facilities, not any of the cities or civilian infrastructure.

Good! A declawed IRI is the only good IRI.

Ah yes, Iran’s famed 3 decade long nuclear war program when they’re already… very closely allied with 2 nations with fully developed nuclear arms programs. Mhm, mhm. Definitely. They were right around the corner this time, just like in 2023 and in 2020 and in 2017 and in 2013 and in 2009 and in 2003 and in the early 90s. Any day now they’ll have super giga nukes. Israel has decided that the best safeguard against imaginary things with no evidence is to murder every single Islamic person. They have the right to defend themselves you know, it absolutely has nothing to do colonialism/racism/islamophobia nope no siree. /s

      What the fuck man?

Canada calls on parties to return immediately to the negotiating table and reach a diplomatic solution to end this crisis. As G7 leaders agreed in Kananaskis, the resolution of the Iranian crisis should lead to a broader de-escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, including a ceasefire in Gaza.

Like, we had a diplomatic solution. Iran has been playing by the rules regarding it’s nuclear enrichment. With constant inspection and strong surveillance from a bunch of different countries. U.S. intelligence knew there were no weapons or even any possibility of them having uranium that’s enriched enough for weapons use. They advised Trump against attacking. And Iran had a deal with the U.S. Trump screwed them over really badly on this one.

This is just Netanyahu being a psychopath hellbent on destroying every Arab nation in the Middle-East. He’s been escalating hostilities in that region by himself the entire fucking time.

Carney is just playing politics trying to not upset Trump’s fragile ego. But, c’mon. This has the potential to increase hostilities worldwide. Stop dancing around the pot and call the motherfucker out for being gravely incompetent and stupid.

Even the IAEA disagrees with you bud. Could it be that Iran hasn’t been able to get those nukes because of Israel and the US? Also Iran is not that close with Russia or China, Russia is too busy fighting a war in Ukraine to help these pigs, and China doesn’t want the trade wars to heat up any more, plus they’re both just taking advantage of IRI.

Also you dumb racist POS don’t know that 1. Iran is not Islamic anymore (the government forces people to lie about it) 2. Iran is not Arab you racist POS. You clearly don’t even know anything about what’s happening between Israel and Iran, so I suggest you stfu about topics you know nothing about.

Edit: lost my cool there and sorry for the personal attack but what you said was racist.

But just search the terrorist attacks done by Iran (the Wikipedia page is huge), you want them to have nukes?

AGAIN the US’s strike ONLY hit the nuclear ENRICHMENT facilities, not any of the cities or civilian infrastructure.

Also, yes Iran has obviously been developing nuclear weapons. BTW I disagree with the way the US left the nuclear accords, but nothing can be done about that anymore and IRI doesn’t want to negotiate, so what else was the US supposed to do?

Glad I didn’t waste a vote on this guy. Sorry that my advocacy didn’t lead to a weaker minority government for him.

I’m glad we both made sure he got a minority. In a perfect world the liberals and conservatives wouldn’t have enough seats to pass corporate bills together.

My apologies, I genuinely did not know the exact ethnic makeup of Iran and thought that the country largely still identified with wider Arabic culture. I looked into it and did see that was an incorrect assumption on my behalf due to their geographical location. I appreciate you correcting me on that, and I meant no offense to any of the ethnic groups that together form Iranian culture.

America bombing Iran was a very incendiary move and it knows that. The entire debacle with Iran is very obviously meant to distract from domestic issues in America and the ongoing genocide of Palestinians by Israel.

I’m by no means defending the Iranian regime. They’ve done despicable and horrific things to their citizens. Its just ridiculous to not acknowledge how Iran is “3 weeks away from having a working nuke” any time it is convenient for the US or Israel, and not for years in between. I know that nuclear accords were ongoing and that the regime was refusing IAEA inspectors, and also that they were enriching uranium, but beyond those things I am as of yet unaware of any tangible definitive evidence of nuclear bomb development in Iran.

Thing is though that uranium enrichment past 3.6% is only needed for bombs. According to IAEA, Iran’s nuclear enrichment is at 60%, that is very very close to 90% (speed of enrichment is exponential based on current progress, it can be done very fast at this point).

Ofcourse, Trump fucked this up anyway, apparently IRI has only been delayed by 2-3 months anyway.

BTW, what Israel has done in Gaza is horrible. It could very well have been a distraction, we’ll see.

I am more afraid of the zionist entity already HAVING nukes than Iran getting nukes. What right does a country that has refused to join the NPT have in enforcing it on others? The zionist entity has invaded everyone around them, and instigated wars with people nowhere near them. Iran has not invaded anyone as far as I know. Also, Iran is not currently slaughtering thousands of women and children through starvation and bombing.

I don’t know, man. A lot of Iranians in Canada have no love for the government there…I don’t personally know any that do. Most of them have no illusions about the potential collateral damages, but see it as the only way to free Iran from the current regime.

A lot of Iranians think the CIA installed the Ayotolla and that the Shah was loved by the people and democratic but they don’t know who Mossadeq was.

Being Iranian doesn’t automatically mean you have a correct opinion about Iran.
