      Most of that pressure is artificially created to get lawmakers to sign bills without reading. Creating a sense of urgency is a classic scamming technique and it’s used extensively in the political world, because most politicos are really nothing more than con artists.

        I agree. There’s absolutely no reason to rush this bill as bill C-5 won’t just affect the people who live in Canada now but the future of all Canadians alike.

        This rushed hack bill to me seems incredibly similar to corporate overtime or triple-A game dev crunch jobs.

          Political pressure? They’re appointed for life, literally what consequences are there to pushing back? Honestly the senate is such a waste of money. They’re trying to play both sides of this issue to the benefit of no one.
