Alberta Premier Devil Siren suggests premiers start following her down the path of destruction.

Yes, let’s get the provinces together to discuss the constitution. Meech Lake is known for having gone swimmingly.

Lol Meech Lake AND the Charlottetown Accord both crashed and burned spectacularly, opening constitutional talks is basically political suicide for anyone who tries it at this point.

If she’s suggesting it I’m suspicious, but we will have to take a look at the electoral system and the notwithstanding clause eventually, at the very least.

Yeah, people are dumb. All her ideas have little support, so you have to think her polls will collapse if she seriously starts doing things.

Isn’t that really bad news for the sustainability of our country, if so?

I feel like smith is less about electoral reform and more about “Alberta has the right to extract as much oil as it wants, in whatever method it wants and is exempt from any and all regulations”

England had Brexit, USA had Trump, we’ll open constitutional talks and start tearing the country apart. The era of shooting yourself in the foot.

And all the other provinces have to build pipelines to ship it. And no transfer payments to provinces that didn’t accidentaly have oil underneath, but we still get full services from the government.

The level of having our cake and eating it too that gets sold to the public is ridiculous.

She probably wants more powers for Premiers (read: Danielle Smith) too, even though she doesn’t respect the decision making of municipalities underneath her at all.
