With Carney, it would just be redundant to have PP as well. We already have a conservative leader in the parliament.

The idea that choosing a safe seat means not winning by a landslide could be considered a failure is an interesting one. Though I really can’t see the party kicking him out as leader unless he just barely wins.

Sure, but a significant portion of PP’s voting base is only there for the oil&gas subsidies and austerity for everyone else. He’s redundant for them given Carney.

I could spare some change for Ms Critchley’s campaign.

Oh yeah? You don’t think the liberals have a role in enabling them?

Did conservatives ever say they wanted housing prices to remain elevated, and would they hire such a terrible housing minister?

Well, he’s still going to win.

I think he’ll get vastly reduced numbers compared to Kurek’s 83%, and then blame it all on the long ballot, conveniently ignoring the fact that Bonnie Critchley was the real threat; and that you could take 95 candidates off of the ballot with no material difference.

If he gets below 70% of the vote, I’m not sure the party will support his leadership this fall. Unfortunately, the prime replacement candidate will be fucking Jason Kenney.

For those wondering, here is Bonnie Critchley’s platform:

Bonnie understands the frustration many Albertans feel with Ottawa, but she also knows that separation would only create deeper economic, social, and security challenges for families here. She is committed to fighting for Alberta’s fair treatment within Confederation and ensuring rural voices are heard at the federal table.

Having fought bush and grass fires and assisted in multiple evacuations, especially of livestock, Bonnie knows firsthand the real and growing impacts of climate change. She has seen how extreme weather events threaten lives, farms, and entire communities across Alberta.

Focus on Crime Prevention Support policies that tackle illegal gun trafficking and organized crime, not rural families who rely on firearms for predator control or livelihood.

“Investing in our communities is about more than just building roads and bridges. It’s about building a future we can be proud of.”

As someone who has spent her life in rural Alberta, Bonnie knows that family farms are the backbone of our communities and economy. She believes farmers deserve fair policies that keep them independent and thriving not pushed out by corporate consolidation.

Bonnie believes that if you own something, you should have the right to repair it.

She does not believe the government has any place in regulating how people manage their own bodies, their health, or their personal choices. This includes reproductive rights, gender identity, and how individuals choose to present themselves.
