I hope they are just sowing the seeds of discontent so it is less shocking when we cancel any further orders.

Cancel the F35 program, and buy from Europe.

I fully endorse and support doing this, regardless of sunk cost.

I’d rather cut the losses, and redirect the spending.

You know what we need is an alien invasion. Advanced tech and weapons, but not TOO advanced, so that the world can unite around planetary defense, and defeat them with our clever monkey brains that are much better at combat that they ever anticipated. I see no potential downsides whatsoever to this plan.

I’ll get on collecting half full glasses of water around my house. Maybe brush up on my Morse code.

This is a sound plan. Something about tin foil hats as well.

By far the most disgusting inaction that is a prelude to gaslighting for greater US subservience is not cancelling all US military procurement. The F35 is the worst overpriced ineffective system out of the lot. Cancel first, make trade deal later. Being put at the back of the line would be a blessing in case they manage to fix problems. But US software that prevents most of the plane’s systems from being turned on without permission is a deal breaker, that Israel does not submit to.

There’s probably a massive cancellation penalty.

I think we agreed to the first 16, but i think we can cancel the rest without penalty. My opinion is accept the 16 F35, buy 70 Gripens from Saab, join the Global Combat Air program and invest in 6th generation fighters. 88 fighters not enough for a country our size.

We already paid for the first 16. So let’s accept than one squadron and then look elsewhere, for fighters we can actually maintain at home.

Canadians write cheques. Americans deposit checks.

Probably about as high as the concern the Defense Dept has for your opinion.

                            You’ve missed the mark.

I was heaping scorn on you for believing that you were adding information.

No shit there would be a fucking cancelation fee.

We’ve already been through this once. No way we should cancel again.
