And people voted for Trump because “at least you know what you’re getting with him.”

A vote for Carney was largely a vote against Poilievre. There were clear indications of that being the case, to the point where the Liberals fielded a candidate whose biggest draw was essentially, “I’m not Pierre.” And if it was clear enough to them, maybe the CPC should have taken a cue and fielded their own “I’m not Pierre.”
