It's very sad that Americans have so little remembrance of their own past! Their great-grandfathers fought in WWII, together with Canadian, British, Australian, Ukrain soldiers, to free Europe! So many of them gave their lives for liberation of occupied countries here, in Africa (a.o. Egypt) and Asia.
