@satsuma @RogerBW @Taskerland @PrintdevilIn the case of mysteries, changing the truth around at random is basically akin to fudging stats or dice rolls. Not everyone is cool with that, or are only OK with it in certain contexts. Certainly, I'd advocate for "is there any way a clue related to the scenario I had in mind could *possibly* show up at the donut shop of all places?", just not randomly warping the game world to make the mystery center on the place or its employees.
