@otakureview@urusai.social I figured that knife edge was inevitable. Too much of a Chekovs Gun to ignore. While it’s set up to go that long I privately hope it doesn’t, at least not linearly. I would get pretty exhausted. It might make sense as a two-cour / timeskip, but the status quo would have to change drastically - I doubt the families internal secrets could remain intact, for example.

I followed you here (since then) and enjoyed reading what you post coz it helped me think critically while learning new things!I wanted my writing to impact people but i wasn't sure about my voice yet so I just kept reading YOUR posts, trying to figure out what made it so compelling!Observing what resonated and why your style of posting works helped me determine what was working was that you were being your full uncensored self which made you authentic! So there might be more people like me, lurking and watching what you post until they feel ready to ask to hop on a call with you (like me) LOL.Each trying to find their own voice until they were ready to finally ask for your time. Thank you for advising me on what to write and how!

@futurebird Your point is CRITICAL. As an infosec pro I have worked with scam victims and similar and the shame is such a huge factor in negative outcomes. It’s why there’s a very conscious, if partially successful, effort to relabel “pig butchering” as “romance baiting” (the original term comes from China). Also, Dad has dementia and has gotten scammed a few times (ie fake tech support). He knows I won’t judge him if he comes to me.

@FRWiki The Sheaf of Wheat inn in the bottom-right corner is the third piece of art I did for the book as I learned to draw, and the first I really threw myself into. It's not great, but I'm proud of.Abby's food art is great, though.

@ielenia@ck.catwithaclari.net the language of geography is messy and is driven by history more than modern politics. Some of it is colonial, but all languages do this to some degree. Because you know, sometimes the locals name things that are pretty hard for foreigners to say or the interpreter at the time was dogshit so we just have to get over it.

@peachymist@labyrinth.zone I’m just often struck by how little human consideration goes into tech design of all sorts. So little seems designed to help me, rather it fits some marketing aesthetic or manufacturing need. Maybe that’s the problem, who knows.
