@Crissy @renegourley @evan @atomicpoet I would not actually recommend starting with a co-op.

@Crissy @renegourley @evan @atomicpoet I would not actually recommend starting with a co-op. It’s a lot of time and expense up front.
One thing you might do is find a fiscal host - @hyphacoop is in Canada.
You can then choose to evolve into a co-op but actually build and govern ahead of the entity.
The hard work is moderation and community support to onboard people.

@boris thanks so much Boris! Yeah if that's a viable option, prefer to build and govern ahead; appreciate your advice on hyphacoop!
I know the moderation and community support will be the toughest portion so thanks for the heads up.
@atomicpoet taking this into consideration plus the 9 foundational members we have to put us in the black, do you think we can go ahead as a co-op or 1st build then evolve into a coop?

Crissy Kuchisabishii Geco 🇨🇦 Boris Mann Apologies for the delayed response—I was tied up doing server updates today, so I couldn’t reply as quickly as I’d have liked.
I’ve sent an email to Hypha Worker Co-op (per Boris’s recommendation) to open up the conversation, and I cc’d you, Crissy, on it as well.
