I read a post about femininity on here and it made me think on my own relationship with gendered expression. I gotta be honest: Femininity makes as much sense to me as masculinity does, meaning that I can't get my head around neither of those concepts. I really struggle with this since as a trans woman it feels like everyone expects you to align with being more feminine and fitting into that and it's just so alien to me. I mean can I just not give a shit about makeup or dresses or jewelry or whatever the fuck and still be a woman? Can I just be me?

The problem with that is I have an internal conflict with myself because a part of me wishes I could be more feminine, but it always feels like it's not really in my nature. So does that come from feeling forced to conform or is there something else? I don't know what to think of that and it all just feels contradictory.

@DejahEntendu But I am a cat, so obviously I like boxes. 🐱 Joking aside it's just very hard to figure stuff out and I get overwhelmed easily by that. I have to think about what works best for me.
