@ielenia@ck.catwithaclari.net It'll probably suck hardcore, but you can try to at least get some of the skeleton done with GNU Octave (which tries to be matlab compatible).

That's a hard YMMV path though.

@ielenia@ck.catwithaclari.net It's not clear to me why universities continue to insist on making students use and learn MATLAB. I don't think there was any project I was given that couldn't have been done with scipy and matplotlib, and learning those tools before I did would have been far more useful to me. Also ... free, and not you know, literally $1000/year.

You might be able to ask your professor if they'll accept something else. It sometimes works.
