@mitch Dogs should never stand on escalator steps. Lots of accidents where nails were stuck in the struts and gruesome injuries happened because they could not step off. Use a lift , stairs or carry your dog. Spread the word.

(I would probably be remiss, however, if I didn't mention to people that it's generally inadvisable for animals to ride on an escalator like that. Paw injuries sometimes occur at pinch points. When going between floors vertically, conventional stairs or an elevator are the safest place for our furry family members and friends.)
