I think I am getting quite close to burning out.

@Taskerland On the bloggy stuff? Or Mastodon?
@SJohnRoss On RPG stuff. Too much going on.
-
@Printdevil RPG stuff... been doing too much.
@Taskerland Take a step back and just do some photography and enjoy discussions, you've been doing a lot of game-for-review week after week.
Start working on a pop up gravestone made of old photograph cuttings from an asylum

@Taskerland I'd be happy to trade places; I haven't had a game in weeks
I _did_ poke into a new shop about 40 minutes away, though, and they were very nice and very pro-RPG and very pro me-GMing-for-them, so, that's something that has me enthused.
Sadly, the even newer shop 6 minutes away doesn't want you if you aren't there to buy cards.

@SJohnRoss I get that second impression from every shop I go into. I really get the impression that board, mini, and cardgame people view RPG people are backward relatives who get included purely out of pity.

@Taskerland @Printdevil have you tried writing 230,000 words of fanfiction about a children's show from 1985 (/comic from 2015) to rekindle your creative spark

@Taskerland That's the nearest shop for sure. There are about five shops within an hour's drive, though, and they're a mix.
The second-closest was an absolute joy for a while, before the owners changed. I was GMing a few nights a week and the owners daughter was a one-woman press gang gathering me players.

@Printdevil Good advice. I will write about films and books for a bit. Do some photography.

@vortiwife 230,000 words?! I thought my writing-for-fun habit was out of control. @Printdevil

@Taskerland @Printdevil to be fair when you break it down into novels MOST of that is procurement pals. but i could write a 4000 word singles club fic once a week until the end of time tbh

@vortiwife 4000 words a week is pretty reasonable but it does stack up over time. @Printdevil

@Taskerland Ferment a secret rubric for reviewing games and plot its inception.

@Taskerland Do some local photography of fields, masonic halls, churches and vampires for the Barchester Supplement for Bloodsuckers.

@SJohnRoss My FLGS used to have a thriving RPG scene, inspired in part by D&D Adventurers League but including other RPGs. Once AL stopped, the whole thing dried up. Now they have 1 to 4 weekly events for each of 10 (!) different TTRPGs.
