@Tim_Eagon In Australia she'd be in high school already, because it's years 7 through 12.

@AndrewTBP yeah, we separate junior high/middle school here, but my kids go to a parochial school that runs 4K through 8th grade, so it's truly soon to be the end of an era (even though my youngest will be there for another six years after his sister leaves).

@wgahnagl our school has a ceremony at the very end of the last day (which is a Field Day), where the 8th graders are honored and then they pass the school to the 7th graders. I saw a bunch of dad's with tears in their eyes. I turned to my wife and said "I'm definitely crying next year."

@Tim_Eagon she had an end of year event that I can only describe as Cajun Olympics - tug of war, line dancing …..
