    I had to pick up my daughter from her friend’s house tonight. Her friend lives in a semi-rural area between Madison and one of its suburbs, so I had to drive on a bunch of country roads. There were thousands of fireflies hovering over the corn fields and in the copses of trees alongside the road. So beautiful.

      I had to pick up my daughter from her friend’s house tonight. Her friend lives in a semi-rural area between Madison and one of its suburbs, so I had to drive on a bunch of country roads. There were thousands of fireflies hovering over the corn fields and in the copses of trees alongside the road. So beautiful.

        @Tim_Eagon we'll see a couple around the yard here in Texas, but nothing like Wisconsin gets- my grandmother's back yard in Appleton was brighter than the street lights with them.

            @Archarzel I get tons of them in my backyard, but it's not the same as out in the country!
