          @redcrew The same mix I used last year - from Johnnys Seeds. Field Peas (inoculated) and oats.

          I can't plant the cover crop or my fall spinach/lettuce until after 1 Sep. But the way that autumn has been up here in Northern IL, I'm not worried about frost till late Oct.

            @chgowiz unfortunately, almost all of our beds were duds. they were leftover boxed gardens from the previous homeowners. we're gonna tear them all out, and make raised gardens with better soil next year. Our snow peas, tomatoes, and cucumbers are doing well though!
