    I discovered the "in media res" approach some years ago through John Harper’s Lady Blackbird. Since then, I start most of my adventures straight into the action, skipping all preliminaries — it gives them a more cinematic rhythm.

    Have you ever tried?

      @mdom Yep, learned it from the WEG D6 Star Wars game, where it was the recommended approach.
