@yora @opalbreezegames Mechanics that give you some sort of a reward if you already succeed in something.
For example, A Game of Thrones LCG had a card that would give you additional winnings if you won a contest by a certain (non-trivial) margin.

@opalbreezegames You know, I was thinking about this on and off since this morning and I don't think I can recall a single instance where I thought it was good.
Although, also, I don't think I can recall very many real examples to begin with.

Although, also, I don't think I can recall very many real examples to begin with.
The first example that comes to my mind are "execute" mechanics in World of Warcraft, where enemies took increased damage if they were below 25% health. In #ttRPG s, I think Fabula Ultima has the Crisis status as a similar trigger to win more mechanics.
In the Marvel Rivals videogame, id the Winter Soldier hits real good with his ultimate ability, it's cool down resets instantly.
