@Tim_Eagon Finally watched this video. Interesting to see a clear outsider's view in all this.
Though I cringe at the one obvious mistake he made: mistakenly referring to the OGL as having eventually been released under Creative Commons. No, the SRD for the original version of D&D 5e was released that way. The OGL is a license, not the material released under said license. (There is a comment making this correction, but for some reason it only has two likes!)
