        disabling hardware protection on a chromebook has officially reached a point where i would describe it as "bomb disposal-esque" in that to disable it on mine you need to cut a green wire and if you choose incorrectly then the battery no longer sends power to the motherboard

          @vortiwife And I thought the incredibly loud tone as it requested a key combination within so many seconds before factory resetting was bad...
