Just finished reading the first of the John Silence stories by Algernon Blackwood, A Psychical Invasion.
Totally see what's meant when I read stuff talking about Silence as a proto-Kolchak and proto-Mulder. Doctor doing pro Bono work going and investigating the weird spiritual complaints of patients and cataloging and solving them.
Looking forward to the other five stories.
