@Indiegamereadingclub I feel a lot of this. I miss what it felt like 2010-2015 as I was first really getting into running games.
Like New World of Darkness, Mongoose Traveller, Fate, Shadowrun 4.
I had so many *different* games going on. And they felt different.
I'd say that "dont have to play it to review it" is almost more a symptom of almost every thing is a spin off of 5e, PbtA, FitD, or B/X, with different coats of shine. So like "okay so using that rule to do this, I can see it"
