@Tim_Eagon when I was a student in Texas, I knew a guy who was working as an intern for a state legislator. During a special session, when things are especially hectic, they got a call that the governor’s office in the evening — Bush wanted to meet with them about a bill that we’re running, and they need to be at the governor’s mansion in an hour.

The rep was like, “let’s go!”

The intern was aghast, “I’m wearing sweatpants. Can I go take a shower and grab a suit?”

“No,…”

“….there’s no time. This is our one shot to get face time with the governor”

The intern agreed and they rushed to the meeting.

They are ushered into the office for their meeting with the Bush and his team, all in suits. Before anything else is said, Bush starts the meeting by turning to the intern and saying “thanks for dressing up for the governor, son.”

It’s frat boy bullying but at least there was *some* humor in it, even if it’s mean.

The trump folks just want the bullying.
