Obsessive weirdos with extremely niche special interests MUST BE SPONSORED.
Who ELSE is going to do that work, if not the person who was born to do it?
There are enough people, and enough resources. There is no excuse not to do this.

@ShadowJonathan Not only that, but a lot of what people have to do to pay the bills is actively harmful. Imagine if all the people doing cold calls all day could just stay home and play PlayStation. Everybody wins!
David Graeber wrote a book about this, called "Bullshit Jobs"

@ShadowJonathan Truth. There's a Bay Area guy that does that here in the Central Valley after big rains.

@ShadowJonathan I see someone has found post10 on YouTube

I hate that whenever something like this is proposed, people act so incredulous and ask how one can be so sure that it would all work out, that there would never be anything that you needed to force someone to do. Like, yeah, maybe it wouldnβt work out perfectly, but why not try.
-
@ShadowJonathan@tech.lgbt I will literally learn just enough about any topic related to tech and make something in it just because I have an interest in it. But I'm forced to "specialize" and "follow the company style"

@ShadowJonathan Torstein Veblen. "The Instinct of Workmanship". Somebody is on the brink of inventing UBI here.

@ShadowJonathan I would absolutely be one of the people who make art though. And maybe do a little bit of science.

@ShadowJonathan .-. I am thinking about this toot since I saw it yesterday night and like. I have no idea what I would do if I had access to universal income!
-
@ShadowJonathan We donβt have such system yet because for each million of freaks thereβs a billion of normies who will abuse & scam the shit out of it

@d_olex @ShadowJonathan Most people say, they would go on working, but they don't trust others would. Maybe just have a little more trust in others.

@mortentorten @ShadowJonathan βThe othersβ has obvious issues right at this moment with very basic stuff like not electing dictators and criminals for presidents, it does not inspire any trust like at all

@d_olex @ShadowJonathan That's because people get only shitty alternatives and are led to believe those dictators have their interests in mind. Why else are they always talking about the hard working people?
