Oh nooooo just in time for me to go back to work. What a load of shit, lmao

Steam being a US-based company kinda put a damper on my willingness to shell out the moolah for games I might not even play …
…and which you don’t actually own.

But this indie game is only 50p and so is this one and this one and this one…

What is that third representation of money? Paper bills, credit card and [???]. Is it a ring?

It’s a wallet

It’s a wallet
Thanks, now I feel silly for not recognizing it.

Thank you, don’t know how I didn’t recognize it.

TBH for me, between the sales and the Linux compatibility it’s still worth it even if I’m effectively renting the games.

Meh I don’t typically see pricecuts that are that meaningful, on isthereanydeal the steam sales often just don’t impress me in how they compare.
I don’t mean to rain on the parade, the deals aren’t bad and I love steam so shrugs
just because the things you want aren’t on sale… doesn’t mean the sale doesn’t exist

GIVE IT TO ME! I NEED IT. I sold a good portion of my Steam inventory in preparation!

They’ve tried, they’ve listened, they’ve not gone forward with the implementation, apologized and refunded and everyone else moved on.
Steam :: Steam Workshop :: Removing Payment Feature From Skyrim Workshop
We're going to remove the payment feature from the Skyrim workshop. For anyone who spent money on a mod, we'll be refunding you the complete amount. We talked to the team at Bethesda and they agree. We've done this because it's clear we didn't understand exactly what we were doing. We've been shipping many features over the years aimed at allowing community creators to receive a share of the rewards, and in the past, they've been received well. It's obvious now that this case is different.

Except they didn’t apologize and according to them adding paid mods was not a mistake, their mistake was starting with skyrim. I think it’s funny how enamoured people are with steam to the point of misremembering what really happened.
Edit: love the downvotes, just proves how brainwashed steam fans are, just like nintendo fans.

Let me know when Steam starts accepting the cartoon moths that fly out of my empty wallet.
You got some of them moths??

Meaningful to whom?
I’ve gotten at least 50% off compared to the day I wishlist something on every game that I’ve waited on a sale for. I know this because I only buy wishlist stuff when it is at least 50% off

Use SteamDB to check price histories. Steam Sales often present the lowest historical price on any game.
If you’re okay with buying from key resellers, the stores on Isthereanydeal.com beat Steam a lot of the time.

My rule is I can’t buy a game unless I am going to play it that same day.
Even in cases where the rule causes me to miss a sale and end up buying the game later, I’m sure it still saves me money, and - more importantly - saves a tremendous amount of regret and stress caused by buying games that would just sit my library unplayed.

Im saving up for retirement!
