I play a lot of 7 Days to Die (it is a game where you have to survive in a zombie-infested post-apocalyptic world, and every 7 days the moon goes red and the zombies get extra spicy about wanting to eat your brains).I find it relaxing. I run a quest or two, do Horde Night if that's where I'm at in the cycle, and sell a bunch of stuff to the traders. They update stuff occasionally and I have to figure it out (like how they changed how you interact with biomes other than your home biome), but overall it's fine. I got a little tired of doing the same stuff all the time, so I went back to Aloft and beat it again. It's an okay game (also still being updated, so there were a lot of things that were new to me). I had been missing my other "comfort" game though. I had not played Raft in a long time, so I started a new game this weekend. I do not know if they have changed anything - I'm thinking not, but it feels different to me. I used to feel like I was really good at Raft, but I feel like I am mid (at best) right now. I can reliably defeat Bruce, but I really struggle with the wild boars, and the screechers are absolutely impossible. I feel like my character exhausts her food and water a lot faster than she should (even when eating cooked meals, which I remember giving extra nourishment). And she seems to get hurt a lot easier. Or maybe I should say when she gets hurt, it seems to take more of her health than it seems like it should. Some of this I will be able to mitigate as I acquire more stuff. Once I have enough leather, I will be able to make body armor and a helmet. But that won't help the food/water issue. Maybe I should have started my new world on an easier setting. Maybe I need to build back up to where I was as far as my game skills. Here's where I am in the game: I have a llama, so I can get wool. I managed to get some dirt despite the screecher raining rocks on my head all the way to the cave. So I was able to build a dirt plot and grow grass to feed the llama. I have a cooking pot, a large grill, and two smelters. I'm growing beets and potatoes so I can keep myself pretty full on vegetable stew. I have two of the advanced water purifiers so I can keep myself hydrated and water the grass for the llama.I think I should make a third smelter and use one for regular metal, one for copper, and one for seaweed/glass/puffer fish powder. I should try to find another llama, probably. And even though I tend to dislike the POIs, I should start the story. Finding some new blueprints and being able to buy stuff from the traders will help.Even though I feel like I'm struggling a little bit, I still love the soundtrack and a lot of the visuals. #Raft #PCGaming
