    @stux I'm thinking about getting a cat. And when I say thinking about, I mean I'm probably going to get one soon.

    What's your experience on vet visits and stuff? Do you think pet insurance is a hard requirement?

    Not sure how things work in Europe, but over here you can get pet insurance.

    At the same time, I'm not sure it would be useful outside of like a broken leg, which hopefully wont happen... so.

      @franticbiscuit If you can try and get one from an animal shelter ❤️

      We go twice per year with both cats at the same time for checkups and injections and such, mostly between 150-200 euros at a time

      If they have something serious we can always call and go in for emergency

        @stux Okay, thanks!

        Pet insurance (with full coverage) is around $90/month, so I'm trying to weigh that in.

        However, it doesn't cover annual vet visits (shots) so its really just for like emergencies.

        I guess it would make more sense to just save up the money monthly instead of pay into the insurance?

            @stux Yeah I mean, it's going to be a indoor cat. So the risks would be like a broken leg (unlikely) or something easily treatable.
