Still with me? Cool, now consider Keir Starmer's behavior in response to A) open Trump administration aggression, B) the rise of a British far right that is firmly pro-Trumpism, and C) the recent US invasion of Venezuela and kidnapping of its president.
Do you think I'm really that off base if I said to you that Starmer sees the writing on the wall and would rather be Trump's Belarus than his Georgia or Ukraine?

How long do you figure, in what is now clearly a "scramble for Africa" Great Power struggle type of world, it's going to take Trump to say that in this conflict between the US, China, and Russia (he may well not consider any other country to matter in that) he needs a US foothold in Europe?
A year? Two? I guess you're hoping comrade Big Mac takes him out before then right? Gotta say I been waiting on comrade Heart Disease too but so far he's let us all down. Hope is not a strategy.

And I am not optimistic about how the German government will act in this.
I mean, Chancellor Merz might not be as fully committed fascist as the members of the Trump administration, but he _is_ a Blackrock creature through and through. Ultimately, he will do as the oligarchs tell him.
