So Bandcamp is moving their artist payout processor from Paypal to Stripe. Which, on the one hand, Paypal sucks & their fees are enormous, so at first I was like, "good".

But when I went to sign up, I discovered that Stripe is basically the same premise as Plaid--they don't just want your bank account routing info to pay you, they want you to digitally link your account to them, giving them access to information about your account balances & transaction details...
