Thoughts on Claws of the Tyrant?

What does everyone think about this adventure format?
If you didn't already know, it's three separate, interconnected scenarios (one each 1st level, 7th level and 18th level). It looks like in two of the adventures you'll be working against an antagonist and in one of them, you're working for them.
Of course, we'll have to wait to actually see what's in the book before making up our mind, I'm just wondering what the group's initial thoughts, feelings and reactions are

My caveat upfront is that I've never actually played an Adventure Path, however I like the idea of being able to pick and choose adventures within a theme/narrative. Seems sort of like a cross between traditional APs and Society (which I do play a lot of).
