There was a timid non-binding resolution in Senate, but there is no mass protest, or passionate vocal condemnation, of Trump/US attack on Canada. Instead, the poltical establishment recommendation is that the US needs to leverage its traditional soft power subjugation of its colonies that corrupts our democracy into unanimous subservience, and has historically been so successful, but that political establishment accepts a wait and see approach to Trump’s extortion tactics.
