Watched THE BLUES BROTHERS (1980) for the first time a couple days ago. Very few movies are this transparent as to how they spent their money:

Did Not Spend
- film stock (so grainy!)
- editing (all those fades to black)
- ADR (the restaurant scene w/ Aretha is particularly dire)

Spent All The Money (in descending order by dollar amount)
- car chases
- explosions
- helicopter
- music clearances
- "Mr. Belushi's coke dealer is on the line and he sounds kind of upset"
