@samiamsam @VisualStuart you seem to be under the impression that this is still about immigration. It's not. Not a white christian? You're a target. Please, wake up.

What the actual fuck? ICE has been holding three members of the Oglala Sioux tribe in detention since Friday. Tribal members are US citizens by statute.

Homeland Security is refusing to release any information on these tribal members, other than first names, until the tribe enters into an "immigration agreement" with ICE. Again, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?

@VisualStuart Native Americans aren't white enough. That's a crime with this government.

And where are the dems? Slurping scum off the underbrush somewhere like the spineless slugs they are.

I say to hell with Blue and Red. They are both failures. We need new and better ideas in govt.

          😡

ICE are openly admitting it isn't about "immigration", it's all about white supremacy.

White Supremacy Enforcement would be a more accurate name.

Where the F are they going to "deport" Native Americans to?

@angeldruckt Tribal members are Native Americans, however the term tribal members in this case also indicates that they are registered members of a federally recognized tribe.

By contrast, the Chinook of the Pacific Northwest are not a federally recognized tribe which denies Chinook members access to federal healthcare, housing, and education benefits.

I presume habeas corpus petitions will be filed shortly, to find out where and on what basis ICE is detaining three US citizen Oglala Sioux.

ICE's has very limited police powers. They are restricted to immigration enforcement. They have no authority to make random stops, to detain generally, or to enter into any private space without a warrant signed by an Art. III judge.

@huntingdon @VisualStuart ICE has any power they take for themselves until someone actually stops them. And juridical methods don’t count at ”stopping” unless there is actual enforcement.

                            @VisualStuart

German here. Sorry to inform you, but our history shows that it is not relevant whether or not you are citizen of your own country when fascism gets to do its stuff.

There is no right side to be on in such a system. The border line between being right or wrong person may shift any time. You can be next.

This is not about immigrants or native Americans. It is about whether or not you are a person fitting into a scheme of a fascist system – nor not.

I guess this is why some YouTubers have replaced the term ICE with "Gestapo".

@angeldruckt @VisualStuart The agreement could be a legal immunity agreement. Tribes vs fed govt has a different standing than fed govt and indiv citizens. Likely US is contravening a treaty with a legally designated nation, here, and wants a get out of jail free to let its members go. My guess anyway

@VisualStuart “Homeland Security refused to release more information, unless the tribe “entered into an immigration agreement with ICE.””

                                    The heck kind of agreement?

What the actual fuck? ICE has been holding three members of the Oglala Sioux tribe in detention since Friday. Tribal members are US citizens by statute.

Homeland Security is refusing to release any information on these tribal members, other than first names, until the tribe enters into an "immigration agreement" with ICE. Again, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?

@VisualStuart So, walls and checkpoints on every tribal border within the country. And the tribes will pay for them!

@ferrix @VisualStuart Prisoners of war? But no, since the Red Cross cannot visit we must assume they are hostages (in the best case). In the worst case, they will become “examples.” No joke.
