I think I’ll delete my other social accounts. General wisdom is that I should use Instagram, TikTok etc to spread the word about things I’m working on (I make a #podcast about stories called The Worst Writer in the World) - but I’ve never found them useful

With you completely on this. I have spread the word here about my music over the several years now, and had some good engagement at times too, but it's become far far more to me than that. Got to know lots of really good people which turns out to be 'the thing', and lots of cats of course
