    Earlier this year, I tried my hand at it. Even completed a first draft. Then I re-read it, and I was like, “No, this is never going to be seen by anyone but myself.”

    Romance is formulaic, but the formula is hard to execute.

        Carolyn Hey, I feel the same way when I read women writing men. If I have to witness one more ravaging he-brute whose muscles ripple through the vexing act of twisting a doorknob, I might start handing out OSHA forms for basic household tasks.
