Fight Back or Move Over Whitecaps are playing Vancouver FC.
I wonder if this is going to bring more fans to Vancouver FC. Also, they need a new name because everyone is going to confuse them with the Whitecaps.

@atomicpoet You are right about the name confusion. Vancouver is synonymous with the Whitecaps. This is my 4th season following the Whitecaps and, until very recently, I didn't even know there was a team called Vancouver FC. But I'm not the most informed soccer fan.
Anyway I wish the new team, players and organization, good luck next year. Should be fun.

@PattyHanson Oh, people in Vancouver don’t even know Vancouver FC exists. I think they’re only drawing something like 2,000 fans right now.
But here’s a cool story. Remember NBA star Steve Nash? He’s from Vancouver. And he’s part owner of the Whitecaps.
His brother, Martin, played for the Whitecaps. But now he’s coach of Vancouver FC.
So now it’s brother vs. brother—same city—in the Canadian Championship Final.
