    @augieray The Blue Meanies - the Alameda County sheriff - used to tear gas us (Berkeley, California residents) regularly with CN gas - they had sprayers built into the bottoms of their patrol cars and they would spray an entire block at a time.

    It was pretty nasty stuff.

      May they keep firing it into the wind so that it blows right back at them.

              @augieray So they *have* used HC (edit: in Portland, not reported in Minneapolis). [Still that's] reason for everyone in the supply chain that landed it on a street to be put in prison.

                  @augieray The United States Naval Academy considers HC a “chemical weapon”.

                    At least some of these are considered prohibited chemical weapons in actual warfare but allowing Trump's Praetorian Guard to use them on civilians is fine.

                          HC smoke grenades have not been reported here in Minnesota. They have been used in Portland.

                          The Star Tribune piece included the picture so that readers know the difference.

                          And I would like to not need to know about so many different types of grenade.

                            @orbman @augieray

                            The same document that lists that also lists sprayed oil as a "chemical weapon".

                            That does not make smoke grenades remotely the same as what that phrase usually refers to.

                            What we have been dealing with here in the Twin Cities is quite bad enough without misinformation.
